Mission:

We are committed to meeting the challenge to have all children reading well and independently by third grade and working at grade level in math. We are also aim to:

Spark children's excitement in reading and math
Improve literacy and math skills
Provide greater access to books and opportunities for reading with an adult
Support literacy and math development

Female Mentor (Salvation Army Kroc Center: South Phoenix)	Fingerprint/background clearance is required. USL Afterschool Girls Mentoring Program offers female ASU students the opportunity to tutor and mentor middle school girls in a structured program as part of a group of 10-25 tutors. Tutors are assigned 2-3 girls and work with them in one-on-one or two-on-one tutoring sessions. Tutors help the girls with their homework and create and implement fun educational activities in reading, writing and math as well as teaching them life skills such as decision making and self esteem.Tutors work with...
