Our schedule is open regarding our office hours.  We will work with each individual student's schedule on a case by case basis.

REQUIRED/DESIRED SKILLS

Students wishing to participate must have a passion for the cause they are promoting. Students must be motivated, team players and possess good communication skills. Students should be goal oriented and follow through on assigned tasks. Students comfortable with public speaking is desired.

ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP

Duties

Students will work as a team to develop, implement, and promote awareness events to raise support for the organization. Team members will network and develop community relationships to raise awareness about Unchained and the horrifying realities of domestic sex trafficking.  Additional duties may include:  Fundraising, major event support and organization, developing training curriculum, work to increase social media presence.  This is not an exhaustive list and other duties relevent to the student's coursework could apply.

Population served

UNCHAINED will serve community members such as local and national law enforcement, local service agencies, parents and teens, victims and survivors and the business community.

Community need/impact

Sex trafficking is a growing billion dollar industry that requires advocates to raise awareness about the hidden issue. Unchained seeks to educate the public; community officials, educators, students, teachers, victims, survivors, social service agencies, clubs, organizations, and anyone who has interest in the realities domestic sex trafficking. Unchained uses experiential, creative learning techniques to address the issue to the public and provide resources to victims.

The students will have the experience of working within a devloping organization that will impact communities on a national level. Students will work directly with community members to educate and raise awareness on domestic sex trafficking.
