ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP

Duties

Fund raising and Grant writing intership - Interns would be invovled in planning and running fund raising events for StandUp for Kids.  Interns will brainstorm about possible activities, research in the community to benefit homeless and at risk youth.  Interns can also gain experience in researching and writing grants for StandUp for Kids.

Population served

Interns can have contact with the homeless and at risk youth population, to get to know their needs.  Interns would then be reaching out in the community to develop a fund raising plan for StandUp for Kids.

Community need/impact

StandUp for Kids is a local nonprofit that is run without any goverment grants or money.  We rely on foundation grants, fund raising activities and individual grants.  All benefits would go to help us continue to do our work with homeless and at risk youth.

Through fund raising and grant writing interns would help connect the local community in an effort to help homeless and at risk youth become successful adults.
