ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP
Duties
The intern will create meaningful relationships while mentoring and working one-on-one, in small groups, or as a teaching assistant in K-8th grade classrooms in various subjects. Interns will work as positive role models to inspire students and will work with a classroom teacher to create interactive tutoring, work with students one-on-one, or provide small group lessons that will have an impact on students' learning and outlook on future learning.
Population served
Imagine East Mesa is located on Southern and Crismon in East Mesa. The families that attend our school are from the surrounding community including Mesa, Apache Junction, Gilbert, and Queen Creek. We are a K-8, Title I school serving 745 students.
Community need/impact
Interns will have a positive impact on students by providing them with a sense of hope and accomplishment through learning. Interns will provide students the support needed to realize their potential in learning, life, and their future.
Students in our community deserve the chance to realize the unique and amazing individuals that they are. Interns can have a positive impact on our community by opening doors of potential and creating students who realize that the future is theirs to mold and create.
