ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP

Duties

Create and implement a fundraising event for DIGNITY (sex trafficking awareness/rehab).

Population served

This internship will not only serve the greater community at large by educating them about sex trafficking locally, but also the victims will be served by virtue of the increased awareness. 

Community need/impact

Prostitution is not a victimless crime.  Societal views of prostitution are negatively influenced by misrepresentations in the media and by lack of information to the general public concerning the realities of living in prostitution,  The main thrust of this internship is to raise funds to enable the DIGNITY team to bring further awareness to the public. 

Our goal is to be able to create a mobile display that can be used to educate communities around the state.
