Summer Tutor/Mentor: El Mirage

Fingerprint/background clearance is required.We require a background check paid by the Cesar Chavez Foundation which takes 1-3 days for processing, as well as a finger-print clearance.

ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP
Duties
The summer intern will assist in the implementation of the Si Se Puede! Learning Center summer program. Interns will prepare and implement the Learning Center's daily planned activities, support and implement the classroom positive reinforcement plan, assist with special family activities, assist in implementing technology activities for children and teens and assist in the implementation of daily reading program.
Population served
Summer interns will serve low income families that rely on our learning center for continued educational experiences beyond the classroom.
Community need/impact
This internship will address the community's need for affordable summer academic enrichment programming. National research indicates that summer learning helps children retain knowledge and academic skills for their new school year.
Student interns will offer youth, teens, and fmilies the opportunity to empower themselves to learn, achieve and grow. Interns will provide quality programs that emphasize education, leadership and life skills. >
