ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP
Duties
* Assist council program staff and community volunteers with the delivery of the, curriculum-based, Dove self esteem program Uniquely Me!. This program fosters opportunities for leadership and growth for girls in grades 4-12.
It will be delivered via an after school format in Title 1 schools.
* Gain valuable, hands-on, curriculum delivery techniques.
* Have the opportunity to develop and implement additional programs for a diverse population of girls in grades K-12.
* Internship includes: paid event travel and meal costs, use of company technology, Girl Scout membership fees, formal recognition of service.
Population served
Girl Scouts-Arizona Cactus Pine Council serves over 27,000 girls and 8000 adult volunteers throughout 2/3 of the the state of Arizona.
Community need/impact
Through Girl Scouting, girls develop leadership skills in a safe, all girl, environment. Girls are encouraged to use key leadership learning by offering community service hours within their local, national and world communities.
Through Girl Scouting, girls develop confidence in their abilities to make a difference in their local and worldwide communities.
