Also, allowing us to set up events that are designed to help families network, share information and help build personal support.

Community need/impact

To help break down the barriers for people with developmental disabilities and help open up doors of opportunity. The internship will address many issues faced in this field and find ways to educate our communities to create a positive and inclusive environment.

During the internship the students will develop an understanding of the community support needed for people with disabilities and experience the hardships that are faced. After the completion of the tasks, many doors will open by providing community awareness and disability education to form long lasting community support.
