EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Currently working towards a Bachelor's degree from a four-year university

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals and media/PR literature.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in verbal or written form.

ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP

Duties

Development focusing on Walk MS, Bike MS and Corks and Chords.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Others may
be assigned as necessary.

•    Work with Development Department to implement marketing and PR plan for Walk MS, Bike MS and Corks and Chords
•    Use Marketing and PR plan to bring in more participants for Walk MS and Corks and Chords
•    Assist with event participant messaging (email blasts, etc)
•    Update all calendar listings (state wide)
•    Send out Press Releases for Walk MS and Corks and Chords
•    Obtain media coverage for Walk MS, Bike MS and Corks and Chords
•    Assist with Advocacy Action Alerts
•    Work with Development Department in solicitation of auction and incentive items for Walk MS and Corks and Chords
•    Help with Creative Marketing for our Advocacy Department

Population served

Our MS community consists of approximately 14,000 clients in Arizona

Community need/impact

200 people are diagnosed every week with MS. Therefore our need in the community continues to grow.

You will be making a difference in the lives of many poeple. Our organization utilizes volunteers for every aspect of our events. You will be joining in those efforts and will be directly working with clients and family members. Such an amazing opportunity to make contacts and make a difference in the lives of many people.
