ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP

Duties

The intern selected for this service learning site will be responsible for providing support to students with disabilities enrolled at ASU.  Interns will be trained in the use and application of assistive technology in support of individuals with disabilities.  After training, interns will have the opportunity to teach and provide ongoing support for on-campus assistive technology offerings.  A great opportunity for anyone with an interest in teaching and/or technology.

Population served

ASU students with disabilities. All ASU students. Community members in the greater Phoenix area.

Community need/impact

Assitive technology is a growing field and offers increased access and opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

Providing training and support in assistive technology to the ASU community will improve outcomes for students.
