Tempe Community Action Agency

Mission: 

Tempe Community Action Agency provides stability and independence to working poor families, children, seniors, and the homeless through a variety of programs.  TCAA programs include: utility and rental assistance, emergency food box assistance, budgeting and employment assistance, Health Start which provides pre/post natal education and support for 80 mothers, Health Insurance Outreach which assists uninsured families with obtaining health insurance through AHCCCS, KidsCare or other health insurance resources.  TCAA also provides congregate meals at five senior center along with socialization activities, as well as home delivered meals to Tempe and Scottsdale residents. TCAA is also a partner with the Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program.

Assistant (poverty) Fingerprint/background clearance is required.

TCAA could utilize 4-5 ASU interns in a variety of capacities to provide direct services to the clients who utilize our emergency resources. 

This first position would be working with the senior population, packing and delivering meals to homebound and disabled senior in our community.  The intern would also work closely with the senior center program coordinator to enhance the social, health and wellness activities for seniors.  Home Delivered Meals...
