The students would be utilized as AVID tutors for our AVID classes. The mission of the AVID program at Hamilton is to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society. The Avid tutors play a key role in the mission by taking an active part in developing the academic and personal strength of AVID students.

AVID Tutors: participants will receive formal training in the AVID tutorial process and tutor students during the AVID elective class time. Through direct interaction with AVID students, Service Learning Interns will help create deeper understanding of concepts covered in core content classes.
