ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP
Duties
Direct Service Activities:
- Help research corporate entities that could become good partners to CPLC Parenting Arizona through phone calls, emails, setting up meetings and hosting/visiting prospective corporate contacts
- Help engage our current corporate partners through weekly thank you calls and hosting opportunities
- Interview 1-2 current corporate partners to better understand their perspective on giving not only to CPLC Parenting Arizona, but non-profits and social services organizations
Indirect Service Activities:
- Research new prospective corporate partnership opportunities for Parenting Arizona
- Consistenly update Donor Relations Manager & Executive Director on ongoing corporate giving opportunities, corporation expectations on gifts, in-kind & cash contributions
- Update prospective corporate partner databases, spreadsheets and matrices
Population served
CPLC Parenting Arizona serves the Great Phoenix Metro Area. Our families that we service range from low to moderate incomes. The Corporate Giving Coordinator Intern will serve in Maricopa County.
Community need/impact
Corporate Giving is partnering with good standing corporations in Maricopa County to find giving opportunities with corporate entities wanting to make a social impact in the community.
The Corporate Giving Coordinator Intern through our Donor Relations Program, will impact the community through research and by introducing Parenting Arizona to companies in Maricopa County. Through cultivation and stewardship these relationships with corporate partners will allow for stronger advocacy and will help stretch Parenting Arizona's presence throughout Arizona. The partnership will allow for corporations to contribute not only financial resources for more FREE services but more importantly volunteers and individual donors who then share with the community all the great services we are providing and that are needed.
