SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Fingerprint/background clearance is required.Fingerprint/background clearance is required.
- An IVP Fingerprint clearance card and an agency delegated background check are required.
- Cost of Fingerprint Clearance card will be reimbursed by agency (prints need to be done by local police department, or an agency our organization is contracted with), cost of background check will be absorbed by Blueprint Education.
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card process is usually 6-8 weeks, but is dependent upon many factors that our organization cannot control. It is best to apply as soon as possible. The background check can be processed, in most cases, within 24 hours.
- The student can start some type of service while waiting for fingerprint processing provided the backgrounded check is completed and is favorable to our organization standards.

ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP
Duties
- Assist guidance counselor with ECAP (Educational Career Action Plan) asessements
- Research local college and career opportunities for students-maintain a career/college student information/resource center
- Mentor/support students with college/career questions
Population served
Hope High School and Blueprint High Schools are Title 1 schools that serves under-served/under-resourced students who utilize a non-traditional format of education to meet their unique situations. Students often have backgrounds with incarcerations (individual or family). teen pregnancy, bullying, mental health/behavioral issues, etc.
Community need/impact
Students are in need of intensive guidance and support to increase awareness of opportunities and a more positive self outlook.
Providing academic and career guidance to students will reduce poverty in community and currounding areas. Students who recieve more intensive support will show an increase in preparation for the skilled workforce.
