| Direct Care Patient Volunteer |
Fingerprint/background clearance is required. Training required which may significantly delay start of service hours or which needs to be completed prior to the start of the semester. Volunteers are members of a professional care team that includes doctors, nurses, aids, chaplains and counselors. They may work directly or indirectly with patients and families, providing companionship and emotional support that includes: sharing hobbies, writing a letter, providing caregiver support, and helping families navigate the grief process during the first year of loss. |
