Develop connections with community leaders and business leaders to find sponsorships for the DIGNITY (prostitution recovery program) walk and the Immersion experience.  Promote partnerships for specific DIGNITY programs.  Network with the larger community to develop fundraising efforts.

Creative Team Member (Sex Trafficking)

Immersion Experience Set Builder:
The DIGNITY Immersion Experience
is an event that will take place in February to educate the community on the realities of sex trafficking.  This internship would work in collaboration with the DIGNITY staff to create and implement the creative design and layout of the local event walk-thru and be an integral part of the design of the mobile unit for the national tour.

Donation Specialist

Definition of Duties
• Find tickets/donations for activities and events for DIGNITY clients to attend such as sporting events, the zoo, bowling, etc.
• Organize groups within the community to donate food, clothing, outreach items and hygiene products
• Assist in placing DIGNITY clients on Christmas donation lists
• Facilitate creative fundraising efforts to purchase necessities for the client
• Maintain appropriate record of volunteer time served

Paths of HOPE is a Catholic Charities program that helps motivated individuals and families achieve long-term prosperity. Resources for prosperity include income, housing, personal and family health, positive social relationships, strong role models, educational advancement and more. Paths of HOPE helps participants develop their own plan for accessing the resources of prosperity through financial education, personal development, planning and mentoring.

ESL Teacher (refugees)

ESL teacher for Refugee Resettlement clients.  Meet clients at their homes/apartments;  create age appropriate lessons for teaching English;  facilitate learning of English including both grammar and pronunciation;  provide additional guidance such as worksheets and games;  maintain supportive and encouraging dialogue.

Life Skills Facilitator

• Provide life skills workshops to DIGNITY clients
• Encourage the client’s sense of positive self esteem
• Engage clients in dialogue about communication, relationships, and boundaries
• Provide training on financial management

• Conduct self in a courteous manner with program participants and staff
• Maintain appropriate record of volunteer time served

Marketing/Social Media (sex trafficking)

DIGNITY (sex trafficking awareness) Marketing and Social Media Intern:
This internship will set up and maintain social media for the purposes of marketing DIGNITY events.

Mentoring Refugee Immigrants

Mentor a refugee immigrant through weekly visits to the refugee's home / apartment complex. Mentoring may include activities such as teaching English (ESL), how to navigate public transportation, use of home appliances and computer, familiarity with shopping and money, and cultural activities, etc. Orientation to Catholic Charities and 'Who is a Refugee?' / 'Refugee 101' presentation are required.

Interns would help schedule and implement the Baby…Ready or Not program in Maricopa County middle and high schools, youth serving organizations and faith-based communities. Baby…Ready or Not, is a program of Catholic Charities’ North Star Youth Partnership that helps teens experience the realities of parenting at an early age and the commitment needed to care for a baby. North Star provides a variety of youth development programs for teens in Maricopa and Yavapai Counties.
