SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Fingerprint/background clearance is required.

Volunteer Tutor fingerprint clearence card

this costs $65

the time from getting your fingerprints submitted to your actual verified card might vary, but generally takes a few weeks.

 

Our school has agreed that your  program may begin as the verification process is underway, upon checking references and enrollment in the  service learning course.

REQUIRED/DESIRED SKILLS

A desire to work with students from kinder-eighth grade.

Basic knowledge in skill set for subject they choose  to help tutor  students in.

ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP

Duties

Tutors can work with a specific grade level or subject matter to work with at risk students and help them improve academically and socially.

Population served

Students who are showing an academic risk.  

Community need/impact

This is a title 1 school.  We are working on our school goal of Every Child, Every Day.  

They will  help boost student self esteem by helping them reach their academic capabililties.
