Tumbleweed Center for Youth Development

Mission: 

The mission of Tumbleweed Center for Youth Development is to provide a safe space for collaborating with youth and young adults in our community who are vulnerable or experiencing homelessness.  These safe spaces will allow access to caring relationships, resources, and programs that offer opportunities for young people to develop their individual potential.

Duties Semester
ESL Instructor Fingerprint/background clearance is required.

The intern will provide one hour of ESL education to adolescents 13-17 twice a week.  The intern will also provide two to three hours per week of age appropriate activities for the youth.  In addition, the applicant will create curriculum, and conduct pre and post education assessments.

Fall (mid-August through mid-December)
Spring (early January through late April)
Summer (mid-May through mid-July)
Event Associate

The intern will assist in the planning, preparation, execution, and close-out of the annual golf outing.  Duties will include soliciting participants and raffle items, assembling materials, maintaining reports,and working at the event, which is scheduled for October 19th.  Following the event, reports will be prepared, and thank you's completed.  We will then begin work on the Gala, which is scheduled for April 2013.  We will be working on many of the same details we...
