Community need/impact

The Central City South Community has been targeted as an underserved comminity with high risk factors affecting the commiunity's health behaviors and outcomes. Sixty one to eighty one percent of the population in this area does not have a high school diploma.(Census, 2000).This community face a shortage of educational, environmental and health services in which they need and can desparately, benefit from such preventive health program that Arizona Facts of Life offer.

Our program gives youth the opportunity to grow and have fun in an environment that's conducive to meeting their needs during the sensitive stage of adolescent/teenage-hood. Such programs not only give them a safe environment but reinforce the social norms contributing to high school success, higher learning and becoming a productive adult.
