Comprehensive Hospice and Palliative Care

Our team of experts at Comprehensive Hospice and Palliative Care provides medical, personal care, psychosocial, and spirtual care to those facing a terminal illness. 

Our volunteers provide comfort by reading, watching tv, writing letters, providing respite, or just holding a hand to patients and their families.

Duties Semester
Hospice Intern/Volunteer
Fingerprint/background clearance is required.
Training required which may significantly delay start of service hours or which needs to be completed prior to the start of the semester.

Volunteers/Interns will work with hospice patients who have a life expectancy of six months or less. Interns can read a book, watch tv, play a game/crafts, provide respite care to the caregiver,  or just hold a hand. Volunteers are to provide companionship and socialization to patient and familes.

Fall (mid-August through mid-December)
Spring (early January through late April)
Summer (mid-May through mid-July)
