Nomination Criteria

To be considered for the "Best Article in an Electronic Journal, 2000" award, articles must have been published between January 1, 2000, and December 31, 2000, in a peer-reviewed, scholarly journal in the field of education that makes its contents available without cost across the Internet. (For a listing of most such journals, see http://aera-cr.ed.asu.edu/links.html).

Nominations must include the following:

  • a description of the article's general quality and impact on the academic or professional communities
  • article's location (URL)
  • contact information for the nominator(s)
  • the author(s)

Complete nominations should be emailed to Charles Webber at cwebber@ucalgary.ca and must be received by March 1, 2001. Nominees will be informed that their work is being considered for the award. All nominations will be reviewed by a Communication of Research SIG awards panel. The award recipient will be recognized at the Communication of Research SIG business meeting in April 2001 in Seattle.
